The European Bioenergy Research Institute (EBRI) at Aston University has partnered up with URS Infrastructure & Environment Ltd to provide expert planning and permitting support and guidance for companies and organisations interested in bioenergy development.
The workshop will provide participants with a good understanding of how the planning and environmental permitting systems work. Case-study examples of first-hand experiences by URS consultants will be discussed along with the commonly experienced ‘pitfalls’ of the planning and permitting application processes.
Workshop topics will include:
- Introduction to the planning system
- Planning policy
- Planning applications
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
- Introduction to the environmental permitting system
- Permit applications
- Regulatory guidance
The workshop will be interactive with plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout. Attendees will also be offered the opportunity to sign up for free 1:1 advice on planning and permitting to help move projects forward.
