Chief Scientific Advisor visits EBRI

On 13 May 2025, EBRI was delighted to showcase its Biochar CleanTech Innovation Accelerator to Prof. Chris Johnson, Chief Scientific Adviser at the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology (DSIT) when he visited the EBRI building on the Aston University campus. Prof. Johnson was joined by other representatives from DSIT, Midlands Innovation and Aston University.

The Biochar CleanTech team gave the delegation a tour of EBRI’s state-of-the-art laboratories and an insight into what commercially valuable products can be produced from organic waste and residues through the pyrolysis and EBRI’s innovative technology.
